Oh yes – those crapola little 3D specs everyone’s been donning this year thanks to films like ‘Avatar‘, are now making their way on to the catwalk as a friend of Burberry.
Yep, the luxury designer brand announced it is to stream it’s A/W 2010/11 show at London Fashion Week this month, in 3D, making broadcasting history. Now that’s a fashion statement if ever we’ve seen one.
The 154-year-old brand plans to stream the show afterwards at a string of parties in New York, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Guests will be able to experience the thrill of a Burberry front row - usually an invite restricted to fashion’s elite and A-list Sleb’s, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Alexa Chung and Liv Tyler – and will be able to view the collection’s fabrics and textures up-close.
Thing is, we can’t much see the ‘fash pack’ looking hawt in the original geeky film specs – perhaps a bit of ‘Gaga Bling’ is needed – rah rah, ooh la la!
