Liam says new band will beat Oasis

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has claimed his new band will be bigger than the group he formed with brother Noel.

Speaking to ‘The Sunday Times’, Gallagher said that Beady Eye would have “similar” sounds to his former group, but cites their key influences as Jerry Lee Lewis and T-Rex.

Speaking about Oasis, he said: “It’ll be bigger. I’ve got no doubt about the music, no doubt about me.

“I’ve never sounded better. It’s proper rock ‘n’ roll. Oasis was a pop band compared to what we’re doing.”

The singer also revealed he and brother Noel have not been in touch recently, saying: “Don’t want to either.

“It’s done and dusted. He’s living his life, I’m living mine. I hope he’s happy in what he does and I’m happy in what I do.”

He also claimed that his brother would “come crawling back very f**king soon”.
