Peter Andre reportedly spoke with Twatter and Facebook’s oldest user Ivy Bean, before she passed away.
The Telegraph reports the singer called the 104-year-old after hearing she was unwell – after the pair met at supermarket ‘meet and greet’ last year. Bean also appeared in Andre’s ITV2 reality show.
Pat Wright, manager of the Hillside Manor home in Bradford, where Bean was a resident, told the paper that Bean opened her eyes and smiled for the first time in 24 hours when she heard Andre on loudspeaker.
“She definitely knew it was him,” said Wright.
“He was telling her to be strong and you could tell by his voice he was trying to be strong too.”
Bean had 56,000 fans on Twatter, including slebs such as Stephen Fry, Ashton Kutcher and DJ Chris Evans.
A message on her Twatter page this morning confirmed that she had “passed away peacefully at 12.08 this morning.”
RIP The Bean.
