‘Sherlock’ (yes as in Holmes), the new Beeb TV show, could be renewed for a second series.
The first episode of the adaptation written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, gained 7.5 million viewers and was also well-received by TV critics.
Head of Drama, Ben Stephenson said:
“We’d like to do more. But if we do, they won’t air for at least a year. Drama takes at least a year to get made and Steven is also really busy with Doctor Who”.
The series, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch (above) and ‘The Office’ star Martin Freeman, continues this Sunday on Beeb 1 at 8.30pm, with a second episode titled ‘The Blind Banker’.
