I can hear the Wang-nista’s of London already clicking online to book their NYC plane tickets, with the news that Alexander Wang is to open his very first flagship store at 103 Grand St. by the end of this year. (Capital ‘H’ for Hoorah)

The boutique will be in a space which once housed a Yohji Yamamoto store and despite keeping many details under wraps for now, Wang did say this of the locale:

“It’s a perfect, iconic location, and there is a massive amount of windows.”

Windows? Always good for a fashion store I guess….cue lots of wang-basics hungry shoppers peering through the panes night and day.

And what prey-tell will be the in-store shopping experience from the hottest designer du jour? a “new perspective on luxury”, apparently.

The countdown starts now — that’s if the anticipation doesn’t kill us all first.
