Picnic table chic is obviously something that’s evaded me. Difficult you would think when gingham usually just screams at you. (For the record, I’ve never worn it).

So imagine my poor eyes when I clocked Christina Ricci in Hollywood-land wearing something that obviously blew around the park for a while and if she hadn’t caught it, the dude who usually sleeps on the bench would’ve.

An apron-style topped red and white gingham maxi-dress. I’ll leave that with you to think about.

And an “OMG” goes out to those mis-matched shoes. I want her to click her heels together and say three times “There is no place like…the bin”. Then they be gone.

On this occasion Christina darling, life may well be a picnic, but that doesn’t mean you have to wear it.
