Alesha is about to march her way back into the charts with a colourful, foot-stomping new hit, ‘Drummer Boy’ which is unlike any other record you’ll hear this year!

With a commanding military troop rhythm set over brass & synths and a massive sing-a-long hook – it marks a fighting return to Pop-dom for Dixon, after a stint as a judge on the Beeb’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Featuring drum samples from the Dallas Austin produced soundtrack to 2002′s cult movie ‘Drumline’ – ‘Drummer Boy’ is written and produced by Akon’s latest protégé Shamrock, and lyricist Nate Walka.

Walka has already bagged a Grammy for penning the US Number 1 ‘Blame It On The Alcohol’ for uber cool actor and singer, Jamie Foxx, also working alongside Chris Brown, Trey Songz and M.I.A.

Alesha is already a proven hit maker in the UK, with her debut album, the platinum-selling ‘The Alesha Show’, producing massive hits such as ‘The Boy Does Nothing’ and ‘Breathe Slow’ – which earned her both Brit and MOBO nominations.

The singer also toured with the album, selling-out 17-dates nationally, where she wowed fans with her full-on shimmy-tastic performances.
