Think saucy and French – and you’ve got the latest raunch-fest of an ad from Renault featuring burlesque star Dita Von Teese and cameo’s from Rihanna (seductively posing on a chair in her undergarments) and Thierry Henry, the second tastiest dish in France after moules marinières.
RiRi’s scene is inter cut with a clip of Marlon Brando saying the famous line “I coulda been a contender” from the 1954 film “On the Waterfront”- while her French football co-star, comments, “When I see something wow, it means Va Va Voom” (as he peers through a hole in a giant red padded silk cube which looks to be part of some sort of art installation, while Dita undresses inside. Peek-a-boo’s ahoy!).
But just when we were having all that fun, turns out the ad has been banned from broadcast on daytime TV here in the UK (sigh) – as Brit censors think it will be too inappropriate for younger viewers.
Honestly, first Dita’s cleavage causes a stir during a guest appearance on CSI in the U.S (where censors called for her to cover up) and now that ample bosom is being blamed for the near mass destruction of young people’s innocence in Blighty; they don’t call Brits prudes for nothing you know.
Watch the ad below…*Warning: if you read The Daily Mail, best go and make a cuppa now and pretend things like this don’t really go on in Suburbia*

weird ad, why Rihanna? Can understand Thierry as he’s done other ads for Renault with the va-va-voom theme, but seems Rihanna is just thrown in there because of the whole woman being sexy in a burlesque type of outfit like she did in the vid for Te Amo. She’s almost over-selling herself right now and appearing everywhere.
